Verilab was founded in 2000 by Tommy Kelly, Jason Sprott and Mark Litterick in Scotland. The company's primary objective was to address the growing complexity and challenges of hardware verification, in the field of semiconductor design.
In its early years, Verilab offered consulting services and training to companies in need of specialized expertise in the field of design verification. As digital systems and designs became increasingly complex, there was a growing demand for efficient verification methodologies and expert verification engineers. Verilab worked with the semiconductor companies building silicon chips and the Electronic Design Automation (EDA) companies, who provided leading edge simulation tools and solutions.
Over time, Verilab expanded its service offerings and team of experts. In 2003 Verilab opened offices in both Munich Germany and Austin Texas USA, establishing an international presence. The Canadian office was opened in 2011, based in Montreal. In 2022, Verilab opened its latest office in Belgrade Serbia.
