Ken Gray is one of the first employees of Verilab, joining the company a few months after it was founded in 2000. In 2002, he spearheaded the founding of the Verilab Germany team and currently leads the Munich office.

With over 30 years in the semiconductor industry, Ken has worked in a wide range of technical areas and in roles ranging from individual contributor, through technical and project lead, to overall design manager -- sometimes all at once!

His experience includes work on military radar systems, initially with Ferranti Radar Systems in Scotland and subsequently as a consultant for Philips Hollandse Signaalapparaten in the Netherlands. After Philips, he spent the next seven years inside the Benelux countries, initially working in Belgium for an industrial printer manufacturer (Xeikon) before becoming a founder member of the Motorola Philips Design Centre in Eindhoven, focussed on CDi, CDROM and VideoCD products (the fore-runner of DVD today). Ken then returned to Scotland in 1997, to run the design team in Motorola, East Kilbride that went on to develop one of the best selling Coldfire parts of all time (MCF527x).  It was during his time at Motorola that he met Tommy Kelly, Mark Litterick and Jason Sprott, the co-founders of Verilab, and joined the team in 2000, moving to Germany in 2002.

Ken holds an Honours degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Dundee in Scotland. When he isn't working on Verilab stuff, he spends time playing guitar, hill-walking, skiing, brewing beer and enjoying all things Bavarian.
